Effective October 2026
In short
Torque Entertainment collects only what we need to consider, represent and stay in touch with actors and the people who work with them. We don’t sell personal information, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use tracking or advertising cookies.
What we collect
When you submit to Torque (the form on our Contact page): your name, email, phone, union status, where you live, links to your work, your note, and a headshot and resume if you attach them. Those files are seen only by Torque staff. If you are a parent or an agent, your name and email too.
When you email us: whatever you choose to send, such as your headshot, resume and reel links.
Torque clients also share an Actor Information Sheet (measurements, skills, contacts and similar details used to represent you). We never ask you to type Social Security, driver’s license, bank, passport or tax ID numbers into our website or to email them to us. Forms that need them are printed, filled in by hand, and mailed or delivered to us.
Actor Resources (our client area) asks for your name and email and may email you a sign-in code. We keep a record of visits (dates and which page) so we know the area is used by the right people.
Everyone: we count how many times each Actor Resources page is opened each month. These counts don’t use cookies and aren’t linked to any person.
How we use it
To review submissions, arrange and confirm meetings, represent our clients (for example, submitting and pitching them to casting directors and producers and keeping casting profiles accurate), keep our client area secure, and reply to you.
We may also let actors who have contacted us know about related services for actors offered by Torque or a business Torque runs. Every such email will include a way to opt out, and we’ll honor it.
Who we share it with
We share client details with casting and production professionals only as part of representing that client. We use a few trusted service providers to run this website and our office: website hosting and storage, email, and tools that help us draft and organize our own emails. They handle information only to provide those services to us. We don’t sell or rent personal information.
Cookies
We use only functional cookies: they keep staff and Actor Resources visitors signed in and stop repeated wrong passwords. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we don’t track you across websites, our site works the same whether or not your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal.
Young performers
For actors under 18, we work with a parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian should complete forms for a minor or review them together, and we direct our communication to the parent or guardian.
Keeping it safe and how long we keep it
Our website uses encrypted connections, and staff areas are password-protected. We keep information as long as it’s useful for the purposes above, and backups for a limited time.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it or stop contacting you. Email us and we’ll take care of it. California residents may have additional rights under California law, and we’ll honor them.
